Rachel and Endrit came to visit this past weekend. We had a lot of fun with them. They were only here Friday night and Saturday. This is my beautiful lilac tree. Mary posted hers a few weeks ago....just shows how late spring is in Cache Valley. We usually only have about two weeks of spring. It goes from cold to hot really fast!
Stan decided that the danger of frosts were over and moved the straw that we have to cover one area of our house with every winter keep the water from freezing...hopefully. We forgot to put it out in the early winter and did have water freeze to the outside troughs for a few days.
We have had so many fat robins this year. We must have lots of yummy things under the grass for them. They came really early this year, before it really started warming up in early April. A brave new generation.
This the East side of our house. Our light lavendar lilacs didn't do too well this year. We love our red maple and our rock gardens.
The backyard is what we call our 'grandkids' forest. By the swing and the small pine you can see the new fire pit that Isaac and Stan made. We have used it quite a bit. I think this last weekend is the first one in awhile that we haven't had a fire and at least roasted marsh mellows. Everyone really enjoys that. You can also see another fat robin out in the middle of the lawn.
Endrit was able to change the oil in his car while they were here. We were also able to wash all the vehicles. It was a beautiful day.
These are the light lavendar lilacs, you can see frostbite on the petals if you click on the picture and enlarge it. Most of the buds froze before they could bloom.

Beautiful. I love your darker lilacs. Your pics are soooo clear also. I need a new camera bad. Mine are always kind of fuzzy.
Endrit and I took a couple of those photos...but none of Dexter? Have you remembered how to use your lens? It was nice to see you.
