Is Stan running a marathon?

This morning Stan was out early, with the lights on, finishing the roof. He took a vacation day. Winter is coming and things need to be ready for it.

This is 4PM the same afternoon. The roof is on, the tar paper is nailed down, my small contribution, and the gravel delivered and spread.

The mess is cleaned up and both of our vehicles are in, with a space for Nicole when she gets in!

Just as we were finishing this the hail/snow/sleet came down! We did the clean up in the white stuff. There are just some things that you feel compelled to finish. Stan has been really, really vigilant in getting this done. He needs knee replacement surgery, but is putting that off until next September. So, there has been some 'soaking' in the evening. He does great work!

The view from the back deck. Stan will continue to finish the walls and build a small roof over the end of the deck to the garage. We will get the metal roofing next week and install the roof. We will also put the metal roofing on the deck outside our bedroom! It's all looking really good.
