While we were on our mission, the basement flooded....several times. When we got home, we found that a pipe had broken and was just continually filling the basement with water. Some wonderful neighbors had put in new sump pumps, but they were pumping all the time, until we found the real problem and took care of it. We are FINALLY getting the downstairs room livable again. We also had a hole cut into the 'scary basement' (the old cellar under the old part of the house.) We no longer have to move the kitchen table and chairs, and take up the door in the floor of the kitchen to get to the scary basement where we have a little storage and the water pump. This will be an office/bedroom. We are excited to get it done.
